Fui reportar a eliminação da página do Baluarte Dragão e quando reparei já ia em vários parágrafos. Há algo que me incomoda muito em toda esta "máquina" que elimina coisas a pedido de multidões zangadas. É um futuro que prefiro não ver.
Aqui fica o meu texto:
"Once again, Facebook deletes a page after a mob of angry people who don't like what they read decided to bring down the sword of censorship and take advantage of this brainless robot you call a social network.
What is it, your mission statement? "Bringing the world close together"?

I guess not. Time and time again, Facebook is used, not to "bring the world close together" but to give power to the mobs with forks and torches, promote censorship and restrain freedom of speech.
This is the page in question:

I know, it's a page about football. Or soccer, if you're in the States. The thing is, not all pages are the same, you know? Do you really act upon a page like this just based on the sheer number of complaints? Have you taken any time reviewing the claims people made? If you had, you'd have figured out that there's not an inch of hate speech in that page or any lies whatsoever. Only facts presented in a clear and truthful way. Facts that, of course, hurt a few, but facts still.
Doesn't the fact that hundreds or thousands of people suddenly decide to report a page ring any bells there? And don't you feel like you should try to understand the problem before actually acting upon it? I guess this is what the future looks like, some algorithm deciding what's good and what's evil, based on the power of mobs. I guess that's a way to "bring the world close together".
You see, in a time where you're probably banging your heads against the walls trying to figure out how to fight the spread of fake news (or at least you should be), this kind of pages are exactly what you'd want in Facebook. People taking they're time to post valuable content. This is what you'd have figured out had you taken the time to actually review the reports.
Unfortunately this is not the first time something like this happens and it seems like it's only getting worse. And it's one less reason to return to Facebook. Because the world you're bringing close together is not a beautiful one.
Peace."
